Arashiyama: Picturesque & Delightful District, Hugging Nature

This is a place called Arashiyama, a districit in Kyoto. It is a place that retains the Japanese traditional culture with the temples and shrines, if compared to those of cities in Japan which have been developed into a bustling city with all the tall buildings and high-tech transportation. Arashiyama is located in west of Kyoto with a fair distance. It is accessible by taking train from Kyoto. It is known as a historic site where it is particularly popular during the fall color and cherry blossom seasons.

I love the street here as it is filled with a peaceful and calm atmosphere. The life here can be so pleasant and casual that I felt myself to be so relaxing here when strolling along the street. There are many shop lots running businessalong the street while you are taking your way to the temples like Tenryu-ji temple. They are selling souvenirs, snacks, ice cream and food.

There is the Togetsukyō bridge across the river. I am so impressed with the beautiful scenery there. These photos were actually taken during winter.

Arashiyama bamboo groove is the famous tourist attraction where you can find yourself getting into the nature. You are shed from the hot sunlight and find yourself in a cool environment. Taking a walk along the path during winter can be so exciting as well!
