On the road to SteemFest 3: Cathedral of Chartres, Jérôme and Stuttgart

Yesterday, with my brother Philippe, we drove to the house of my brother Jérôme.

As it was All Saints' Day and Philippe is a practicing catholic, we went to the Cathedral of Chartres to attend mass at 11:00.

Some parts of the cathedral are very old, including the right spire that has been built during the XIIth century and was not destroyed when the cathedral partly burnt in 1194.

The stained glass windows of Chartres are very famous.

The mass was celebrated by the bishop and there was a very good choir that sang beautiful hymns.

I did not take pictures during the mass, as prescribed, but I took a picture of the bishop when we exited the cathedral.

After mass, we had lunch in a nearby restaurant, then we drove to my brother Jérôme's house in Châtenoy-le-Royal, near Chalon-sur-Saône.

After the death of my mother in July, my brother Benoit collected her furniture so that they are distributed to my siblings. For Jérôme, he had a chest of drawers that we brought him in my car.

We had diner with Jérôme and his wife Sylvie, then we talked together until we went to bed.

And this morning, we drove to Stuttgart, in Germany, for the third steps of the road to SteemFest.

We will visit Stuttgart tomorrow and go to Prague on Sunday.
