Welcome to my 44th #BrawlReport as part of the @hive.pizza PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish guild! This is the brawl that ended around November 11, 2022 and I battled in Fray #1.
PIZZA 2 Guild Member Performance
Congrats to @nata86 for taking first place and @amaillo-m for going undefeated as well!
My performance was a little more lackluster in this brawl with 3 wins and 2 losses.
PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish Results
We earned 10 crowns and 538 merits for finishing in 2nd place in this brawl. I think this is the smallest reward we have ever received for a second place finish. Overall, the rewards seemed lower even for the first place guild. Perhaps there's been another game change to nerf the rewards that I wasn't aware of.
We only missed first place by two wins and had just one more loss than they did, so this was a pretty competitive showing for us.
My Battles
My 3-2 record was the result of going 2-2 in actual battles with my final opponent fleeing.
Featured Battles
Battle #2 - Loss
This battle is against the first place guild and I went with my double healing strategy combined with the Llama summoner. Unfortunately, my opponent chose a summoner with -1 magic attack and that crippled my strategy.
Despite the healing and Llama boost, this battle was lost before it started because of the -1 magic and the multiple sneak attack cards used by my opponent to quickly neutralize my back line.
Battle #3 - Win
I used a similar strategy in this battle as I did in the last one that I lost. The Earthquake buff in this battle means my healing ability will be vitally important in order to prevail. Because of this, I decided to separate my Quora and Kron, with a Goblin Psychic healer in between them. My hope is that this will make Kron virtually unkillable with the double healing, but if he does fall then I'll have Quora right behind to get a Llama boost if she's the last card too.
My opponent also has a Goblin healer in play so this will be a battle between who can heal the most consistently to avoid taking damage. Ultimately, my Kron did fall and having Quora as the last card proved effective in ensuring I ended victorious.
Final Thoughts
This brawl was a bit of a struggle and the wins did not come easily. In the end, our guild took 2nd place so I can't be too disappointed. I just wish the rewards were a bit higher in this one! I'm about 500 merits away from being able to open my next Gladius case, so I suppose I will reveal the contents of that in my next report!
