Solving Splinterlands Handicapping for Tournaments

Handicapping Splinterlands Tournaments?

The easiest solution I can think of is to have specific rules to guide the process.

Heavy weight level: Placed 3 times or more 2,000 dec entry prize pool 38,000
Middle wight level: Placed 2 times or more 1,000 dec entry prize pool 18,000
Light weight: Placed 1 time in the past 500 dec entry prize pool 8,000
No weight: Never placed before 500 dec entry prize pool 8,000

Tournaments will pay 5 places 1st 50% 2nd 20% 3rd 15% 4th 10% 5th 5%

Now based on our current player base anytime tournaments are the way to go.
If we get to a point of specific time interest great!
I propose a set up style to fill and go. When we have enough to set off a 20
person we put it on the board. We can take two alternates. Anyone failing to signup
after saying they are ready get one warning, then they can no longer participate.

We can password protect the tournaments to get only the players that have agreed they are ready

Tournament times CST:
8:00am
12:00pm
4:00pm
8:00pm
12:00am
4:00am

So if you would like to get a tournament up and running you go to discord https://discord.gg/Sc54HPZ
channel sl-tournaments you write

example: 4pm No Weight-anytime

when we get 20 ready I'll put it on the board and dm you the private code needed

Brought up in general splinterlands discord was how much you can earn mining DEC by playing matches with your capture rate versus tournament play. Obviously, if you are a beginning player I'm sure tournaments are intimidating. Maybe we can change that.

If you have questions about card renting I've created a channel renting-cards
https://discord.gg/Sc54HPZ

P.S. If 500 DEC seems expensive to you, you can come to twitch one time and beat me lol(You win 500 DEC free or more). Tournament entry covered! Need to learn bronze strategy? Again come to the twitch 4pm CST or view it in your own time.

Feeback, suggestions welcome on tournaments and card renting
