One thing I have started paying more attention to in Splinterlands is how my opponent approaches a battle. Before, I could get so focused on putting my own team together that I would forget to think about the kind of lineup I might be facing. Now, I am trying to consider both sides because I believe it can help me make better decisions.

When I enter a battle, I know I cannot predict everything my opponent will do. They might choose cards I have not considered, or they might approach the match in a completely different way from what I expected. That is part of the excitement for me. Every opponent brings a different challenge, and I enjoy trying to figure out how my team can handle it.

I also find myself thinking more about the cards I choose and whether they can work well against different approaches. It is not just about selecting cards I like or ones that have performed well for me in the past. I want to understand their strengths and weaknesses and consider what could happen if my opponent uses a particular combination.

Of course, I do not always get everything right. Sometimes, I may focus too much on one possibility and overlook another. Other times, I might spend so much time thinking about what my opponent could do that I forget to trust my own decisions. Finding a balance between preparation and confidence is something I am still working on.

What I enjoy most is that these experiences make the game feel different from one battle to another. Even when I use cards from my familiar collection, the way I think about them can change depending on the opponent and the situation. It gives me another reason to keep learning rather than simply repeating the same approach.

I have also come to appreciate that understanding an opponent does not mean trying to guess every move. Sometimes, it is enough to recognize the possibilities and make a lineup that I feel comfortable using. There will always be some uncertainty, and I think accepting that is part of becoming a better player.

As I continue playing Splinterlands, I want to become more observant and thoughtful before each match. I know there is still plenty for me to learn, but I am enjoying the process of paying closer attention to the game and discovering new ways to approach my battles.

Every opponent gives me something different to consider, and that is one of the reasons I keep coming back.
