How to join and get started in the Ferrum Network Social Mining?

Before we get to know the steps on how to join and get started in the Ferrum Network Social Mining, we must know first some brief information about Social Mining and Ferrum Network.

How to join in the Ferrum Network Social Mining?

After knowing some brief information about Social Mining and Ferrum Network, here are the steps on how to join in the Ferrum Network Social Mining.

Sign Up for New Account

The same as to other platforms and projects, the first thing to do is to Sign Up for a new account in the Ferrum Network Social Mining website Click Here to Sign Up. After registering, start now to set up your basic profile information on the platform. The platform doesn't require to do KYC as it is not required in order for us to participate in social mining but in order for the community to know us better, we can put some basic information about ourselves.

Minimum Required FRM Tokens

In order to participate in the Ferrum Network Social Mining, a user is required to hold at least 5,000 FRM tokens it is around 35 USD at the current rates. You can buy FRM tokens in the following exchanges: Eterbase, Binance DEX, Idex, Bitmax and Bitoffer. We must not worry as we have all the custody of all the tokens we hold and be sure to put it on the non-custodial ERC-20 Wallets. I recommend to use Trust Wallet, MyEtherWallet and MetaMask and also the ERC-20 hardware wallet like Ledger and Trezor.

Wallet Verification

After buying and storing the minimum required FRM token to either of the following non-custodial ERC-20 wallets stated above, it is now time to connect and verify the chosen wallet to the Ferrum Network Social Mining website. To get verified, you just have to register the address of the chosen ERC-20 wallet where the minimum required FRM tokens stored. Once you have inputted the address of your ERC-20 wallet in the wallet field the social mining website platform will now ask you to verify your address by just sending 0 ETH to a specified address given by the platform and make sure that you have enough ETH gas to make the transaction successful and wait until your ERC-20 wallet will be verified by the Ferrum Network Social Media platform.

Link the Social Media Accounts

The next step to follow in order to get started in the Ferrum Network Social Mining is to link your Social Media accounts. Currently, the social media platforms that are able to link in the Ferrum Network social mining are Twitter, Reddit, Telegram and Github but only the first three of them will give specified FRM Points. Just follow the instructions on how to link your social media accounts in the platform and after you successfully linked each social media accounts in the platform you will also receive the specified FRM points.

Start your Ferrum Network Social Mining

Now that you have set up your account and your wallet has been verified with the required amount of tokens you can start engaging the Social Mining community. You can do this through the Community board where you can validate some of the contributions of your fellow social miners. This will give you a good idea of what other social miners are doing. You get rewarded when you validate contributions. Initially, your upvote will carry less weight but as you gain rewards this will increase due to your influence and reputation. Validating contributions is the easiest way to contribute to social mining.

The second easiest way is to contribute to using Twitter. You can retweet and create valuable tweets and claim those activities on the Twitter board. You can contribute Original Tweets if you have more than 25 followers. Each of the Tweets will give you 15 FRM points. They should be at least 25 characters long and have the #FerrumNetwork hashtag. You can only claim tweets that are not more than 5 days old and limited to 1 Tweet a day. You can also do retweets which also earns you 10 FRM points. You need to have 25 followers and it is limited to a maximum retweet of 2 a day.

You can also start creating original Reddit posts and commenting on official posts. You can create 2 posts a day with the specified requirements shown in the Reddit Board, each post will give you 50 FRM points each. You can also do comment in the following post being posted with the maximum of 3 comments per day also with the specified requirements as shown in the Reddit board and You can claim Reddit contributions in the Reddit Board. Lastly, if you correctly linked your Telegram to Ferrum Network Social Mining platform you should earn 50 FRM points.

Submitting your activity

You can report your contribution using the “Submit Activity” board. Most of the time you will be submitting Generic as Activity Type. However, you can also submit a bug report or a feature request. Your activity can be one of the following. Marketing, Business, and Tech. There is also a Team request, a submission for activities that the Harmony Team asked from the social mining community. Once you have indicated those you can now submit a link of your work and give a title. Lastly, you have to describe your contribution. It is here where you have to show proof of value (PoV).

To get the greater chance of getting higher upvotes you have to show them what value your contribution brings on the table. Quality is always appreciated over quantity.
