Hello steemians! A pleasure to greet you again. On this occasion I want to share a Post dedicated to "La Flor de Venezuela" (The Flower of Venezuela), formerly known as "La Flor de Hannover" (The Flower of Hannover), for being the city where it was originally opened to the public, during the World Expo 2000 held in that German city.

It is a design by the venezuelan architect Fruto Vivas with a system of 16 petals that can be opened and closed according to weather conditions. It is inspired by the Tepuyes of the Gran Sabana of Venezuela and the National Flower of Venezuela, the Orchid. Has numerous gardens and forests representative of Venezuela, fish tanks, a library and an amphitheater. Source

La Flor de Venezuela is strategically located at the intersection of Argimiro Bracamonte and Venezuela avenues, in the east of the city of Barquisimeto, a few meters from the Sambil Shopping Center, Paseo Juan Guillermo Iribarren and financial entities.

It is undoubtedly one of the great tourist attractions of Barquisimeto, together with the Manto de María Divina Pastora Monument, the town of Santa Rosa or the modern Metropolitan Cathedral.

It opens its doors to the public at the following times: from Tuesday to Saturday from 09:00 to 18:30 and on Sundays from 09:00 to 17:30
