There are pros and cons to this, TBQH. I don't have a position on this atm, since I am weighing them still. I am innately on your side though, because we are the producers of the content which is generating the comments, and shitspam like this needs to be moderated. It isn't a matter of principle, or anything like that. It's literally financially impossible for Steem to not stop it. It's not just bernie, after all, that will shower us with his shit, but every scumbag spammer in the world, and that can kill the Steem.
