How Does Asthma Work and Some Common Treatments of Asthma


Different types of asthma triggers can trigger the asthma attack but it is very important to know what are the symptoms of asthma attack. Sometime people start coughing without any known reason like sour throat caused by viral infection and soon, they start feeling tight chest. There breathing speeds up and gets shallower, making them feel short of breath.

Now we do know the common symptoms of asthma but the question is why do people get asthma and what is the affect of asthma triggers on our lungs. Asthma affects our respiratory system, especially our smaller air ways, such as the bronchi and bronchioles.


These airways have an inner lining called the mucosa that is surrounded by a layer of smooth muscles. People that suffer from asthma, the airways are chronically inflamed, which can make them hyper responsive to certain triggers.

Some common asthma triggers are tobacco smoke , pollen, dust, fragrances, exercise and event the stress. This world is unpredictable and one can encounter any of the above mentioned trigger at any time. The first treatment for the asthma is inhaler which can help not only in controlling but also preventing asthmatic symptoms. Inhaler are useful as they help in transporting medication directly to the affected airways. Inhalers are known to be very effective and they have helped many people in their lives.
