The downtown triathlon chore day.

Up at a respectable hour in preparation of Roger's return. Did some HIVE curation over coffee. Then some tidying up... you know dishes and the like. At about 08:30 headed up for a shower and change of cloths. Feeling renewed returned to the boat for some of my now famous oatmeal with sliced bananas.

Spent a lot of time reviewing for the Radio license exam tomorrow. Feeling good about a pass yet it would be nice to nail it considering there will be a lot of radio chatter to be done when going through the Saint Lawrence Seaway's locks is my guess.

My lawyer pocket dialed me yet as it turned out we had a lot to talk about with regard to the two year $1 lease that the corporation offering to buy my property put forward to sweeten the deal. They seem to want to add a little sour now that the closing day is looming. Basically left him to try to tell those lads and lasses to settle down.

In the late morning started to get the needed paperwork together to make another visit to Staples. Felt good about this visit. For starters the plan was to go to the downtown one again with the very helpful staff. Besides after yesterday's training it should go much smoother as it is much less of a job. Only about two pages of scans.

The trip into town could be a good chance to pick up some edibles as well. Seriously underestimated my supply on last visit.

The ride into town went smoothly. The route is a long one through countless suburban neighborhoods. All nicely kept it should be said. First stop was to the dispensary, then to my regular cafe for an indica chocolate, pastry, chocolate chip cookies and black coffee medium blend.

Once energized in more ways than one it was off to Staples. My hopes were high as this had been a very friendly staff at last visit. It was also boat paperwork which was a nice change and a lot less volume than the property stuff of late.

They were, in fact, one of the staff had aided me on my last visit. Maybe they felt it was time to take the trainer wheels off yet would only support me via called questions across the room while they were working on stacks and stacks of pre-ordered jobs.

Got through it. No cussing. No sharp glances. Yeah there was the time the papers were put in the scanner feed upside down unintentionally. Waited in line to ask what might have happened that nothing was in the scan automatically sent to me as an attachment to an email. They explained that each page was scanned; yet on the clear side not the printed side of the papers.

Almost ready to solo.

The return trip went as smooth as any to date.

The 501 goes through an interesting mix of developed and open wet lands and agriculture.

Called Roger after arriving home. He said that he had been by around 15:00 and would drop round again tomorrow at around mid-morning.

Departure seems on the horizon.

May the wind be at your back!
