False start

Early rise yet not before the sun. Hit the facilities to be showered and ready for the drive about with Chris for the engine parts. Had time for my widely know Maple and Brown Sugar Porridge with sliced banana for breakfast. Had a few more neighbors arrive. There is a big fishing tournament going on so many are in the area where boats are pulled up with camper trailers and vans. They will be partaking in up to $50,000 worth of prize money. It runs along the coast of the lake around Toronto.

Took off for the Rigging Shoppe when Chris arrived. The shop was a little less boat centric as sailor centric. That is you get wonderful foul weather gear, for example, yet not my metal fuel line required for the engine.

Took the opportunity of having a ride from Chris to pick up a very heavy can of hull paint. It was the same stuff which Chris had previously used. Not sure what they put in it to make it so heavy, but at $200+/can it must be some kind of precious metal is my guess.

The short and long of it was that the trip was a bust in terms of the engine parts list.

Chris wanted to take the opportunity to clear the stuff out of the boat that he would be keeping. His books, his tools, things like that. Now as he is on a no heavy lifting list there was some seriously heavy boxes to shift for him. He wanted to partake yet would not allow him. This sailor stuff is an incredible exercise program! BowFlex stand aside!

After Chris left it felt like a nap might be in order. All that unsuccessful shopping makes me tired. My body agreed and didn't even make it through half of the YouTube video used to enter the hypnotic state.

Awoke around 4pm and gave Jose, the mechanic, a call and explained the horrible results of my Treasure Hunt. He said that he would drop round tomorrow and we may be able to take a ride around together, "to the right places" he added. It then ocured to me that the Rigging Shoppe was my idea.

May the wind be at your back!
