Open mic Night: Corner Beet 7/12/18

Thursday nights are usually my nights to myself. Most nights I don’t do much just go to my local bookstore. But this week I went to the Corner Beet on their Open Mic Night with my mom. The place has some really good food and we got to watch many local artists sharing their craft. Each artist gets to perform two pieces each.

When we arrived we ordered our food and found a seat. It didn’t take long for them to bring out our food. My mom got a salad, while I ordered soup and a toast. Both of us are vegan and we had many options to choose from. This makes it a very special place to be able to have nearby. Everything that we had was delicious.

The music that was played was cool as there wasn’t any one style. Some played covers while others played original work. Many played on a guitar but there was a harpist and someone played beats using his computer as well. I felt like there was something for everyone to enjoy.

I hope to go back again, as I had a great time. The food was delicious and the ambiance was warm and inviting. If you are ever get a chance you should check it out. The place is called the Corner Beet. It’s located at 1401 N Ogden St, Denver CO 80218. Go for the good food and a really nice time.

May your stars shine brightly on you.
