Do not let depression be over, it will be heavy

London. If heart patients are victims of depression then they need to be more careful. In one study, it has been found that the possibility of early death of such patients is double. Researchers tracked more than 24,000 patients in 10 years and found that the biggest cause of death after coronary artery disease was depression.

Dr. Hedi Ma, the lead author of the research, said that it does not matter how big or small this is. In comparison to those who do not have depression, the risk of death of victims of depression is more than double. Said that due to other risk factors such as age, heart failure, diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney failure or heart attack, depression is the leading cause of death.

He told that a total of 15 percent of patients or 2,646 patients were found to be depressed during some time during follow up. About 37% of these patients were in depression for nearly five years after the first heart attack. In the minds of those who were suffering from depression, the level of serotonin had decreased, due to which changes in hormones and electro-functioning had changed.

The doctor emphasized that continuous depression should be examined by patients of heart. Patients who see symptoms in them should be treated. This will not only reduce their long-term risk, but also improve the quality of their lives.
