Somehow, toxic people with BPD's (Borderline Personality Disorder), Narcissists, Sociopaths, etc. have a crazy twisted way to make other people feel like they are the crazy ones. This is called gaslighting, and it is a dangerous and malignant type of manipulation.

In the thick of toxic relationships we all have that moment of clarity where we realize something is not right, but it is hard to put a finger on it. It leaves us confused, wanting to reach out for help but unsure how to explain the situation in a way that shows the truth.

The most dangerous people in society are like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Getting caught in their cycles is easy but seemingly difficult to get out of.

Here are the top 7 seven signs you are a victim to gaslighting:

I'm writing this to bring awareness and to let you know that you're not alone.

It's not to say these situations will for sure cause you physical harm; your emotion and mental health are extremely valuable and just as important as your physical safety.

So what do you do about it?

While a healthy sense of skepticism is necessary in all situations in life, it's important to pause and review with situation objectively and with honesty.

Write down your feelings, and talk to someone about it - specifically someone who has been gaslighted before or someone with professional experience (like a counselor), and then make a plan of action. For some people this means removing themselves from the relationship and situation completely. Trust yourself: if something doesn't feel right, it usually isn't right.

Put your energy into symbiotic, healthy relationships. That's where the gold is.

Sending you love where ever you are on the planet.

Stehlla
