I have always wanted to do this, but some coincidental events have brought this to your face earlier than I thought.

This blog post serves as a light to guide and onboard newbies to the Hive blockchain through the INLEO front end (DApp) to create valuable content, shine their talents, connect with like-minded creators and earn rewards.

Welcome to the **real Web3 platform, the Hive blockchain and the INLEO ecosystem.

Do you truly own your accounts and brands on Web2 platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, X,..)? Guess it's something to think about.
You know you can wake up one morning and find out that you have been suspended, locked out or banned from these platforms, sure you know. You must have experienced this once or more.

Then what happens to your audience, the community you have built or even your data/content? Now is the time for you to "Put It All On Chain".

Do you find peace in blogging and vlogging on Web2 platforms? Oh! How much do you struggle to earn on these platforms?
Are you okay with their rules/eligibility for monetization? You know what they are:

500-1000 followers/subscribers
50,000-5M impressions
Stripe account for payouts on blogging sites (of course you know Nigeria is absent on this list and some other countries).
50,000 or 100,000 views weekly (how & when are you going to get there?) ...and all those stuff that are displayed in the monetization section...you know what I'm talking about.

Now check your accounts on these platforms, how many posts have you published or videos have you uploaded? Now check how much you have earned, maybe you are still struggling to qualify for monetization. I forgot to tell you that even YouTube can demonetize your channel after you have qualified for monetization and probably earned some dollars (USD)... "Well, I like to call it dolls". Haha.

Okay, let me put it this way, it's like working for years for a company and you're told your first salary will be paid after you have met the requirements which could take you more than a year, that means you will spend on transportation (your internet connection to publish your content) to arrive at your office (your account), an office you don't own, not paid or appreciated for your commitment and dedication to growing the companies with your content, and you could be laid off without a sign or warning and that means the content and data you are putting out there are not yours.

The good news is that they are making money off your content, but I guess that's sad news for you.

Now there is a solution to this... You can call it "bullshit"... Oh! Yes, there is a solution and you will love it.

The solution is the real Web3, the Hive blockchain where you have true ownership of our works which lives in the blockchain and can't be taken from you.
A place for content creators to publish valuable and original content and be rewarded in crypto ($$$) right from the start, gain visibility and be recognised for your input in growing the community.

But hey! I must let you know it's not a get-rich-quick platform, you need to put in the work, be authentic, consistent in creating content, engage genuinely and your hard work will pay off. You will be guided in your journey here. Stick around and look for updates.

Begin on LeoThreads

After creating your Hive account via INLEO, with your X account, set up your profile like this 👇, you may decide to skip your profile banner for now to make your first thread.

In this image you can see some features I listed out on the UI, so you can easily explore when you sign up.

Create your first thread introducing yourself (240 characters limit), name, country, and how you joined Hive via INLEO, tag me @winanda to give you a warm welcome while I invite other Lions to do the same. Make sure to use #newlion #newbie #introduceyourself.

After typing and before publishing, proofread your thread for grammatical errors or typo errors because you won't be able to edit unless you subscribe to a premium plan, but there is much more to gain by being a premium member.

In other to be seen by other creators, comment on their threads and tag the creator to notify him/her of your response, because as a new lion, other creators may not receive notifications from you yet until after some days of being active in the community.

At least make your first ten (10) threads on INLEO and explore the features.

If you are visiting my blog post from any of the Web2 social platforms where you saw the promotional video and you need to know more about creating content on the blockchain or joining the Vibes Web3 Music Weekly Competition or have questions about how to begin or you have issues signing up, send a DM on any of the Web2 platforms and please go straight to the point or comment "I'M INTERESTED" on the video and you will be added to the WhatsApp group/community for guidance in your journey as a new Lion on the Hive blockchain.

It is advisable to begin on LeoThreads where you will be privileged to earn some Resource Credit (RC) which you need to carry out your activities on the blockchain.

There are things you need to know to become successful on Hive as a great Lion you are about to become. Now read the Food for the mind I shared earlier in this blog post, you need to digest it.

As A Content Creator

It is advisable to read the rules of any community you wish to join and publish your content or share your thoughts in the comment section of other creators so that you don't get muted for breaking the rules and for your content to be approved for curation.

Create original content that resonates with your readers, and share life experiences (if you wish). There are communities for all; photographers, gaming, photography, writers (fiction and non-fiction), finance, food content, vegan foods, smoothies and drinks, technology, and many more. Explore the communities here.

If you will use images that are not yours, use copyright-free images and source them by adding a link beneath the image. Use images from Unsplash, pixabay and pexels. If you will use AI-generated images, you indicate the AI software or tool you used but make sure the community supports it. Make sure you read community rules.

I usually advise writing at least a 500-word blog post, some communities accept 250 words or 300 words but 500 words is ideal as long as you are publishing from INLEO, this shows the effort you put into your blog post and it is much more appreciated.

Your first blog post will be an introductory post, you will need to use a catchy title to attract more eyes, and hook us in from start to finish which will lead us to drop a comment. In your post, you will:

Introduce yourself, country, hobbies. We want to meet you and connect.
How you found out about the Hive blockchain via INLEO?
Your purpose for joining.
The value or type of content you will publish on-chain. (Remember you must not focus on one niche, there are communities to share your various content).
Conclude your blog post and make sure you reply to the comments on your posts from other creators.
