People, in my acquaintance, are immigrating

There are so many people, in my acquaintance, who want to cross the borders, to fly to other lands and want to explore the word beyond limits. These borders are the only things which are keeping humans at distance. These borders are to blame to generate and create a hollow gap between humans.

Those who are still urged by their heart to explore the world, they have open doors of opportunities but money is required because this world is driven by money. It's world of capital class which is focused on extracting money from each little corner of the world.

Visa and Passports

Today, I was searching on Google about visa and passport. Then I got to know that meaning of both terms is not that which I used to think. Actually, I was carrying this information in my mind that both things are same. But, my confusion became clear when I opened Google chrome.

Let me tell you clearly that what's difference between visa and passport?

Passport is actually document which is issued by country's government. It has all the information of particular person. It is required for traveling. So, in short, passport is travel ID card.
It has ;

  • name and surname
  • date of birth and place of birth
  • identification via photo
  • nationality

Now, let's talk about visa. So, visa is permission given by specific country in which traveler is entering. Visa can be just a paper attached to passport and it also can be Evisa. Visa is specific for purpose. It has information that person is travelling for which purpose.

I have Passport

During COVID period, I went to passport office in my city. Oh, it's such a hectic thing to even apply for passport. A long queue was standing Infront of my eyes and I was standing in it. Waited so long for my turn and then I got entrance in the room where they did photo identification.

To get passport, it is important that person's age should be 18 but if his/her age is below 18 then he/she should appear with parents. At the time of applying, my age was below 18 that's why my father was along with me.

You might be thinking that why I applied for passport if I didn't even traveled to any other country?
At that time, my parents showed a desire that I should study abroad but I wanted to be with them and be in my country. Luckily, at that time visa approval was a difficult hustle. So, I just got my passport but didn't applied for any country.

Now I want to fly to other countries and want to see what's beauty is on the other sides of borders. I want my soul to roam freely in every country. I have seen many of my friends who immigrated to other countries and they are having dual nationalities now.

One of my friend flied to Canada where he went for study purpose. From childhood, I always have heard name of Canada in Punjabi movies. So, from my childhood days I have utmost craze to fly to Canada. The only nationality which I wanted to have is of that particular country. It's just about my memories. Movies have filled this craze and love into me 😉.

Majority of my friends moved to Australia. I know three brothers from my neighbors home who shifted to Australia and their life is settled.

Here in my country, moving to other countries became a common norm and every other youngster want to escape the boundaries and set his life in Western and European Countries. It's true.

So many people of my acquaintance have immigrated

Majority of my school and college class fellows have shifted to other countries. Although they moved to different countries for studies but everyone is familiar that their ultimate purpose is to be the nationality holder of the country in which they are studying.

All the perks and privileges attracted them to move and settle in those countries. Going to other countries and settling your life over there is not like walk in the park. It's difficult and people feel alienated, marginalized in other's land.

My uncle is living in abroad. He always shares some deep thoughts about immigration and about living in abroad. He shares that there are so many things which are difficult over there. A person has to pull his day and nights so hard to maintain his status quo in other country and he has to run like a machine. At the end of the day, it doesn't feel like home. Although it rings like home.
