Hi there! It's me @saydie and once again, I'm here to make another post for Holozing which is an upcoming game on Hive with acidyo as its founder and was also the one behind the OCD and POSH projects. The game was a web3 based role- playing game that takes its inspiration from classic games such as Pokemon and World of Warcraft and was planned for a 2024 game launch. For the meantime, as we wait for the release of the game, we have the opportunity to earn the game's main token , $ZING, trough claim drops as the team does not plan to have any pre-mint or private sales in order to make let everyone to have a fair chance of earning $ZING and use it to be able to play Holozing in the future.
With my last post, I have told that there are 4 ways of earning $ZING tokens which were Zing Staking, Hive Power Delegation, Posh Balance and Liquidity Pool. Each method has a separate $ZING pool with 109 million tokens to be distributed yearly so it is important to know each methods and which could give the best yields to be able to maximize this earning opportunity.
Zing Staking, simply means locking up the tokens and earning interest with it so there is not much need to put it in detail while I have yet to unstake my tokens so I can't show to you yet how to do it with Liquidity Pools so this post will be a more in depth tutorial about how to earn $ZING tokens through Hive Power Delegation and through POSH Balance and how to sign-up with your Hive account to be able to claim the tokens.
Holozing Login
First and foremost, to be able to participate on the claim drop, one must need to have a Hive account and a Hive Keychain extension installed in your web browser which you will need sign in to the site. Once you have both just go to https://holozing.com/ where you can see the login button.
Once the login button was pressed, a pop- up menu will show up asking you with your Hive account name and after typing it, press the sign in button and approve the hive keychain transaction to be able to log in the site.
Once inside, you can now go to the Rewards Section where you can claim $ZING and see the different ways on how to earn it.
Hive Power Delegation
- Delegation through Holozing Site
If you have been on the Hive eco system for quite a while and was able to create some post, chances are some of those post have been rewarded with Hive which is then staked in our accounts in the form of Hive Power (HP) that gives us the ability to create a post, upvote contents and write replies and insert our influence within the Hive eco system. In order to earn $ZING through your HP, using the website, you need to press the Delegate button then a pop- up window will show by which you can input the amount of HP that you want to delegate.
As you can see on the image above, I already have 200 HP that was delegated so for this tutorial, I will add another 1 HP to my already delegated Hive Power. In order to do so, I need to input the total amount of HP that I want to delegate in order to update it which is 201 HP. The thing with HP is that when you already have a delegated HP, it will not add up to the previous delegated amount so if you want to delegate 300 HP and you already have 200 HP delegated before, you cannot just input 100 HP but needs to input 300. At worst, if you only input 100 HP, the 200HP that was previously delegated would be undelegated and would take 5 days for you to be able to delegate it again.
Once you decided on the amount of HP that you want to delegate, you need to press delegate and approve the Hive Keychain transaction and when done you will see a notification as the amount you delegate have been updated.
- Delegation Trough other Hive dapps
If for some reason you do not want to use the Holozing site to delegate HP, you can also do it with other Hive front end such as Peakd, Ecency and InLeo which is the one I am using for the creation of this post. All you need to do was to click on the delegate icon and a pop- up menu will show by which you can input the amount you want to delegate.
Just like with the website, if you already delegate an HP previously, you need to delegate the total amount that you want to delegate in order to update the previous delegation and it should be addressed to @zingtoken which is the Curation account for the Holozing Community.
POSH Balance
Proof Of Sharing (POSH) is a token that can be earned by sharing Hive content outside of Hive and was a really great initiative that was made by acidyo to onboard new people on the Hive eco system. However, web2 platforms such as twitter decided to increase the cost for the API integration for many apps which makes it unreasonable to continue using their platform and have halt some of its use case. That said, with Holozing, we now have another use case for POSH which is by holding it, you will be able to also earn $ZING tokens. If you do not have POSH, don't worry because they were sold way cheaper if compared to hive and you can just but them cheap in the market
For the sake of this tutorial, I have bought 10 POSH which at that time cost 0.29 Hive per tokens and then click on the buy button to approve the Hive Keychain transaction and once done, you can either verify it with your Hive wallet or go back to the Holozing reward page.
Whats great for this method was that you do not need to lock your POSH tokens in order to earn. Just by having them in your account, you will be able to earn $ZING which means that whenever you thing you want to exchange POSH to other tokens, you are free to do so right away.
And that is how you can earn $ZING tokens though Hive power delegations and your POSH balance. By the way, just today, there was a new Contest from the Holozing which everyone could enter. All you need to do was:
