My love for bread.

Hello to all the foodies in the house. It is your girl rukkie and I welcome you to my blog. Today I would be sharing my favourite bread with you all.

Bread, bread, bread!!!….this is a carbohydrate food that I love so much. Why? You might ask, well don't worry, I will surely gist you all about my love for bread. There are diverse things that I can eat with bread and that's why I love bread a lot. For instance, I eat bread with butter or mayonnaise. I also eat bread with sardines or fried eggs. Before I go on to tell you all of the many dood recipes and combination that I can eat with bread let me say it plainly that bread is good on its own....at least to me. I can eat bread without any accompaniment.

I'm also a lover of beans and I won't mince words when I say that beans goes down well with bread… it is so delicious and satisfying. Plus it always keeps me from feeling hungry for a longer time. I would just be drinking water here and there till it is evening time. This is a picture of my yummy beans that I like eating with bread below..

Now for the best part of this post which is to reveal my favourite bread,... drum roll please..and viola!..... My favourite bread is Milk bread. If you have never eaten milk bread before then take it from me that you are missing a lot 😁. You just have to try it.

There's another food combination that I love having early in the morning and that combination is popularly referred to as tea and bread in my community. Although it is called tea and bread, the *‘tea’ is actually a chocolate beverage with some added milk and sugar, mixed together with pipping hot water and there you have got your ‘tea’. Having this food combo early in the day sets my mood just right and it makes me smile from ear to ear. I also feel warm and happy inside and that's why I usually purchase the milk bread from a super mart close to my residence every evening on my way back from work so that I would not be short of bread for my early morning combo.

The rate at which bread disappears from the house is truly amazing but not surprising, hehe. After all I have got a "mini me" at home who loves to devour bread as well. "Who knows where she got that gene from?" 😜

I wish I knew how to bake this milk bread for I would surely bake it everyday just to get the satisfaction I crave from it. Whichever way, I am good with buying my milk bread from the local stores around me at least till I can learn the recipe or get around to actually baking one.

Thanks for reading. This is my response to the day 8 #octoberinleo initiative and I'm so happy to be participating.
