Dieses Mal, meine lieben Freunde lade ich Euch zum Thema #saturdayview ein, mit mir auf den Pilatus zu steigen.
Der Hausberg von Luzern hat viel zu bieten, schaut nur mal hier rein:
Dieses erste Foto wurde übrigens auf Fräkmüntegg aufgenommen. Diese coole Location befindet sich an der nördlichen Aufstiegsroute und ist an sich schon ein Ausflugsziel, auch wenn man nicht unbedingt bis Pilatus Kulm hochsteigen will.
Auf Fräkmüntegg gibt es zum Beispiel einen Hochseil-Garten, der es in sich hat und das nicht nur wegen der schwindelerregenden Aussicht.

Lucerne's local mountain has a lot to offer, just take a look here:
This first photo was taken at Fräkmüntegg. This cool location is on the northern ascent route and is in itself an excursion destination, even if you don't necessarily want to climb up to Pilatus Kulm.
On Fräkmüntegg, for example, there is a high-rope garden that is a real challenge, not only because of the dizzying view.
Wir, d.h. meine Tochter und ich, besteigen den Berg traditionsgemäss (fast) jedes Mal, wenn wir zu Besuch bei meinen Schwiegereltern in Meggen sind.
We, i.e. my daughter and I, climb the mountain traditionally (almost) every time we visit my in-laws in Meggen.
Die Aussicht ist, nicht nur auf Pilatus Kulm, sondern auch schon, wie hier unterwegs, ein absolutes Highlight:

In knapp zwei Wochen sind wir wieder dort und die Bewanderung des Pilatus steht schon wieder fest im Programm. Ich freue mich schon drauf. Natürlich werden wir noch weitere Wanderungen unternehmen, aber der Pilatus steht hoch im Kurs und hat alle Chancen, unser Liebling zu bleiben.
In less than two weeks we will be there again and the hike on Pilatus is already firmly on the programme. I'm looking forward to it. Of course we will do other hikes as well, but Pilatus is very appreciated and has every chance of remaining our favourite.
Natürlich ist Pilatus Kulm als Ziel der absolute Höhepunkt des Aufstiegs. Die traditionellen "Älpler-Makronen" auf der Terrasse des hier ansässigen Restaurants (mit Hotel!) lässt man sich nach der vier bis fünfstündigen Anstrengung gerne schmecken.
Anschliessend kann es dann durch Grotten auf dem Drachenweg auf die Jagd nach den Fabelwesen gehen, den Touristen-Shop aufsuchen, durch die wunderbare Natur spazieren (wenn man noch nicht genug davon hat) oder einfach nur die Seele baumeln lassen.
Ein kleiner Hinweis meinerseits: Auch im Sommer sollte man einen leichten Pulli dabei haben.
Of course Pilatus Kulm is the absolute highlight of the ascent. The traditional " Älpler Makronen" on the terrace of the local restaurant (with hotel!) will be enjoyed after the four to five hour effort.
Afterwards you can hunt for the mythical creatures through caves on the dragon path, visit the tourist shop, stroll through the wonderful nature (if you haven't had enough of it yet) or simply let your soul dangle.
A little hint from me: Also in summer you should have a light sweater with you.
Abwärts laufen will dann allerdings niemand mehr - OK, es wird wohl auch solche Top-Athleten geben-. Wir allerdings fahren immer mit der Zahnradbahn hinunter. Die hat es allerdings in sich, handelt es sich doch um die steilste Zahnradbahn der Welt. Da kann einem schon mal mulmig werden, aber was nun schon seit fast 130 Jahren fährt, wird ja wohl auch jetzt noch zuverlässig funktionieren.
Die Bahn wurde 1889 in Betrieb genommen, hat bis zu 48 Prozent Steigung und rund 30 Minuten Fahrzeit.
But nobody wants to run downhill anymore - OK, there will probably also be such top athletes -. But we always go down with the rack railway. However, this is the steepest cog railway in the world. You can get a little queasy, but what has been going on for nearly 130 years, will probably still work reliably now.
The railway was put into operation in 1889, has a gradient of up to 48 percent and a journey time of around 30 minutes.
