Best Soulbounds Cards ? - my opinion after 2 months.

Strategy Corner Picture (8).png

Hiya Splinterlanders :)

Today's article was supposed to be a continuation of the last Hawk21 Madness tournament report, but, because of land excitement, tournament is still going on. My fight with Mondroid wasn't even started, so this time I would like to talk a little bit about soulbounds cards. There were plenty of reviews when they were announced and published, but I think the best time is after you already got some experience with them, and got the occasion to use them in a real fight. Of course, you know me, the best option is to demonstrate them in a real battle, but this time I would like to talk about some different splinter's cards and it would be quite difficult to present them in so many battles. You can check my strategy Corner Cycle (at the bottom of that article), where sometimes I talk more about specific setups and cards in battles. I hope it will be the start of the discussion if you don't agree with my choice, maybe you think I'm missing some of the cards or I just got a different opinion please don't hesitate to write it in the comment section.

SWAMP SPITTER, the order of the cards is just random, it would be difficult to get exact points to score ranking for every card in my opinion. Spitter is just a great addition to the water team. Repair ability is very good, and in some cases can win the battle on its own, when the opponent has not have enough power to destroy armor within a specific time period. Overall I use it in many Keyla setups even with a full magic team as additional

DRYBONE BARBARIAN, wasn't exactly on my radar when the dev team published all the cards. It turned out he is a beast, with enrage and retaliation he can wipe out almost full melee team of opponents. I really like to use him recently with Iziar (we will talk later about him) for a similar reasons like with Costal Sentry to give him some time for all damage capabilities.

RAVENHOOD WARDEN , I think is one of my favorite cards amongst all new soulbounds rewards. Damage is signific, but additional armor which was quite a problem for the death team is just a game changer. I used that card even in higher mana matches, of course, he is not a Queen Mycelia, but for death, team is a perfect addition.

COASTAL SENTRY , I think another underrated card that people still haven't known full potential. With any of the additional options like Possibilus, or a more melee-oriented ruleset (see below for an example of Dumacke Orc) Costal Sentry has the option to wipe out all of the enemy team on her own. Double strike is so a strong ability. I can use her even in the first position with some of the taunt protection to guarantee to release of full damage potential.

IZIAR we have occasion to talk about these cards in our Strategy Corner article about Spirit Hoarder. I have to say from that time I use that cards more and more and still, it overperforms in most cases. I cannot even imagine how could it be on a gold level with additional martyr ability. You can use Iziar even with no healing ruleset, he is resilient enough to provide you enough time to usually wipe out the enemy team :)

DUMACKE ORC, I'm sure it's not an obvious choice among all today's reviewed cards, but I think in some of the specific rulesets and battles this card is just amazing. That was one of the reasons I put it on that list. Melee only, equalizer, Super Sneak, are most usable rulesets, and they appear quite often. For Up Close and Personal (melee only) if you have the option to demoralize (lower attack damage) the opponent's team, Orc could be just unbeatable.

FUNGUS FLINGER VENARI MARKSRAT, last but for sure not least - martyr cards. We have talked a lot about them in the occasion of almost every recent Strategy Corner article. I do check at the bottom page for details. Cards are so strong, of course unfortunately the best option for them is to leave them on 1 level, but it's not an easy task. I hope in near future we will have option to choose any lower level of the cards we own.

Those all of my chosen cards. As I mentioned I really curious if you are agree with my choices, maybe you got some other experience with them. For sure if you haven't tried so far those cards I encourage you to do that. I still don't own all soulbounds cards on the level of my current league and I so curious how those cards could change diamond/champion meta. Unfortunaly for my rental accounts I don't play so often to get enough cards even for gold league, but I hope one day I can gather all necessary bcx :D.
