Greetings garden lovers,
It is another exciting monthly garden update. In my garden, there are always some changes since I never stop growing another plant because I believe that it's better this way so whenever the time comes the first one will finish its journey and do I still have more to follow and I don't have to wait for a long time just like my tomatoes.
Tomatoes
This was the last tomato harvest and area where I planted my tomatoes you can see one last tomato shrub standing in the corner, that was the late growing tomato.
Recently I share with you my tomato journey and just a few weeks ago I thought that the time I shared the update was the last harvest I could have but luckily when I have the time and decide to let go of the first batch of my tomatoes I pull off the old ones even it has small fruit so I can replace them as soon as possible, As I pull off them slowly it turns out that there was one tomato left which was the slowest growing tomato and never had its fruit yet but I can see a bunch of flowers coming out so I leave it and nurtured.
This was the latest update of my last tomato. I thought this month I can skip harvesting tomatoes but I'm wrong. Yey! still exciting to harvest tomatoes again.🤤
Now the same space where my tomatoes were before I transferred a new batch of baby tomatoes thereafter cleaning and mulching. After planting I also assemble a trellis and build bamboo sticks around to protect them from my worst enemy which was the chicken I also used some banana tree skin to protect them from direct sunlight.
After one week of struggles from replacing them two-time because even if they are guarded by bamboo sticks chickens are scratching the soil and making a hole the shrubs are removed and sometimes die when I notice them very late. Now they are standing healthy and strong.
Lettuce and snow cabbage
It turns out that my first time growing one of my favourite veggies was a success and just like last night I pick two heads of lettuce and pared with our grilled pork belly dish viand and it was a fantastic experience for the first time I relished my homegrown lettuce and I'm very proud of myself so I don't want to miss out taking a selfie. 😅
Unluckily the land I'm planning to have planted with my other seeds such as my eggplant and other prepared seeds has not been returned by the farmer who I asked to plough because he said he had to plough first the big farmland an old lady ask him. After all, she paid him right away and he couldn't decline it.
It had been raining here for a few days so the weeds went back to normal as if they were no longer ploughed.
And because of that, I decided to plant some of my eggplant seedlings in different corners of my garden.
I also planted a new batch of okras and string beans after there was rain which they just sprouted.

I sow a few seeds of my air-dried corn which were my harvest last year.

Remember the spinach I wish to replace my old ones? Now, this is how it looks like they are bigger than my palm hands and I'm waiting for a perfect dish to harvest them.
Chillies
Lately, I picked some ripe chillies and made some condiments out of them and still have a lot more chillies to pick the next day and so I told my neighbours that they can pick chillies here whenever they need them.

bitter gourds
My bitter gourds are now happily gliding on their respective trellis.
Taro
My taro leaf is now wide open and a new one is getting ready to be out soon.
Radish
Radish is still giving a lot of flowers and I'm waiting for its seeds but it seems it will take ages.
