alternatetext

The Spy Next Door is a 2010 American spy action comedy film directed by Brian Levant and starring Jackie Chan, Amber Valletta, Magnús Scheving, Madeline Carroll, Will Shadley, Alina Foley, Billy Ray Cyrus, and George Lopez.

The film tells the story of Bob Ho (Chan), a retired CIA agent who is now living a quiet life as a suburban dad. When Bob's girlfriend, Gillian (Valletta), goes out of town for a business trip, he agrees to babysit her three children: Farren (Carroll), Ian (Shadley), and Nora (Foley).

However, Bob's quiet life is turned upside down when Farren and Ian accidentally download a top-secret formula from his computer. The formula is sought after by a Russian terrorist named Anton Poldark (Scheving), who will stop at nothing to get it.

Bob must now use his spy skills to protect the children and the formula from Poldark. Along the way, he learns to be a better father and to appreciate the simple things in life.

The Spy Next Door is a fun and lighthearted film with some good action sequences and humor. Chan is always entertaining to watch, and he has good chemistry with the rest of the cast. The film is also surprisingly heartwarming, with a message about the importance of family.
