The Season of the Witch film with Nicolas Cage is a 2011 American supernatural action-adventure film directed by Dominic Sena and written by Bragi F. Schut. It stars Cage as Behmen von Bleibruck, a Teutonic Knight who returns from the Crusades to find his homeland devastated by the Black Death. He is tasked with escorting a suspected witch (Claire Foy) to a remote monastery, where she will be tried by the Inquisition.

The film is set in 14th-century Europe, during the Black Death. Behmen and his fellow knight, Felson (Ron Perlman), are returning from the Crusades when they are ambushed by a group of bandits. They are saved by a mysterious young woman named Anna (Foy).

Along the way, Behmen and Felson are joined by a group of travelers, including a priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a young boy (Robert Sheehan), and a mercenary (Ulrich Thomsen). The group is attacked by bandits, demons, and even the plague itself.

Behmen and Felson eventually reach the monastery, but they soon realize that the monks are not what they seem. The monks are planning to use Anna's powers to end the Black Death, but Behmen and Felson believe that their plan is too dangerous.

Behmen and Felson must work together to save Anna and stop the monks from unleashing a greater evil on the world.

The film was a commercial failure, but it has since developed a cult following. It is a film that is sure to stay with you long after you have seen it.
