King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is a 2017 action fantasy film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Charlie Hunnam as Arthur Pendragon. The film is a reimagining of the Arthurian legend, and tells the story of Arthur's rise from a street urchin to the rightful King of England.

After the murder of his father, King Uther Pendragon, by his power-hungry uncle Vortigern, Arthur is cast adrift as a baby on a river. He is rescued and raised by a gang of prostitutes in Londonium, where he grows up to become a tough and resourceful young man.

One day, Arthur is drawn to a mysterious sword embedded in a stone, and to his surprise, he is able to pull it free. This act marks him as the rightful heir to the throne of England, and he is forced to confront his destiny.

Arthur sets out on a quest to overthrow Vortigern and reclaim his birthright. Along the way, he learns about his magical powers and begins to assemble a group of loyal allies, including Bedivere, Bors, and Tristan.

In the final battle, Arthur defeats Vortigern and claims his rightful place as king. He then sets about uniting the people of England and establishing a new era of peace and prosperity.

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is a visually stunning and action-packed film that takes a fresh and exciting approach to the classic Arthurian legend.

While the film was not a critical success, it has been praised for its visuals, action sequences, and Hunnam's performance as Arthur. It has also developed a cult following among fans of the Arthurian legend.
