Paso de nuevo por aquí para contarles uno de mis mayores secretos, amo la comida de mi mamá porque es la mejor y este lugar me hizo recordarla.
Esta mañana tuve la oportunidad de desayunar en Trigus Bakery, una panadería aquí en Valencia, Estado Carabobo, reconocida por sus deliciosas empanadas. Desde que entré, en lo único que pensaba era en el sabor de las empanadas que tanto me recuerda el sabor de casa, de cuando mi mamá las preparaba para ir al colegio.
Pedí dos empanadas: una de pollo y otra de carne. Ambas llegaron a mi mesa crujientes y doradas, como recién salidas del horno. La empanada de pollo estaba rellena de un guiso jugoso y sabroso, con trozos de pollo tiernos y sazonados a la perfección. La empanada de carne, por otro lado, tenía un relleno más intenso y especiado, con carne molida bien condimentada y un toque ahumado irresistible.
Cada uno de los rellenos de empanadas no solo tenían la proteína, estaban bien preparados con vegetales como cebolla, ajó, ajoporro, cilantro, ají dulce, pimentón, esos vegetales tiernos que nos recuerdan a la comida hecha en casa y que además le da ese toque jugoso a la comida.
Con cada mordida, las empanadas de Trigus Bakery me traían recuerdos de la infancia, de las mañanas en familia alrededor de la mesa, disfrutando de la comida casera hecha con amor. La textura crujiente de la masa, el sabor intenso de los rellenos y el aroma a hogar que impregnaba el lugar me hicieron sentir como si estuviera de vuelta en casa.
Más allá del sabor, lo que más me gustó de Trigus Bakery fue la atención amable y el ambiente acogedor. El personal como siempre es muy servicial y atento a mis necesidades, y el local estaba limpio.
Además, hay un toque bien venezolano que no podía faltar en estas empanadas y les confieso que ese toque mi mamá poco lo colocaba en la mesa; pero en Trigus lo conseguí y me encanta. Me refiero a la “salsa tártara” que le dan ese toque fuerte al sabor de las empanadas porque lleva bastante ajo, pero de verdad es tan imponente y al mismo tiempo lleno de sabor que no sabría como dejar de comerlo.
Para acompañar las empanadas, pedí un jugo de parchita, fresco y ácido, que contrastaba perfectamente con la textura y el sabor de las empanadas. También disfruté de un late de vainilla, bien clarito, como el que mi mamá solía preparar para acompañar el desayuno.
Si estás buscando un lugar para disfrutar de un desayuno venezolano auténtico y delicioso, Trigus Bakery es una excelente opción. Las empanadas son crujientes, sabrosas y llenas de sabor, y el ambiente te hará sentir como si estuvieras en casa. Además, el jugo de parchita y el cafecito negro son el complemento perfecto para una comida completa.

This morning I had the opportunity to have breakfast at Trigus Bakery, a bakery here in Valencia, Carabobo State, renowned for its delicious empanadas. From the moment I walked in, all I could think about was the taste of the empanadas that reminds me so much of the taste of home, of when my mom used to prepare them to go to school.
I ordered two empanadas: one chicken and one beef. Both arrived at my table crispy and golden, as if they had just come out of the oven. The chicken empanada was filled with a juicy and flavorful stew, with pieces of chicken tender and seasoned to perfection. The beef empanada, on the other hand, had a more intense and spicy filling, with well-seasoned ground beef and an irresistible smoky touch.
Each of the empanada fillings not only had the protein, they were well prepared with vegetables such as onion, garlic, ajoporro, cilantro, sweet bell pepper, paprika, those tender vegetables that remind us of homemade food and also give that juicy touch to the food.
With each bite, Trigus Bakery's empanadas brought back memories of childhood, of mornings with the family around the table, enjoying homemade food made with love. The crunchy texture of the dough, the intense flavor of the fillings and the aroma of home that permeated the place made me feel like I was back home.
Beyond the taste, what I liked most about Trigus Bakery was the friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The staff as always is very helpful and attentive to my needs, and the place was clean.
In addition, there is a Venezuelan touch that could not be missing in these empanadas and I confess that my mother rarely used to add that touch at the table; but at Trigus I got it and I love it. I am referring to the "tartar sauce" that gives a strong touch to the flavor of the empanadas because it has a lot of garlic, but it is so impressive and at the same time full of flavor that I would not know how to stop eating it.
To accompany the empanadas, I ordered a fresh and acidic parchita juice, which contrasted perfectly with the texture and flavor of the empanadas. I also enjoyed a vanilla latte, very clear, like the one my mom used to prepare to accompany breakfast.
If you are looking for a place to enjoy an authentic and delicious Venezuelan breakfast, Trigus Bakery is an excellent choice. The empanadas are crispy, tasty and full of flavor, and the atmosphere will make you feel like you are at home. Plus, the parchita juice and cafecito negro are the perfect complement to a complete meal.
