Cheesy Pizza Sunday

The little guy pretending to be enjoying the view😅

Coming home from the other town late afternoon today, the hubby suggested we stop by the Nainers for pizza. I hoped we would have some beer too, but unfortunately, they were not serving any so we had mango juice instead.

The sky was dark, and there was a cool breeze, warning for rainfall. Thankfully, it didn't rain while we were there. This was our view from the snack house's balcony. Some young boys were planting veggies in the distance.

The landscape may look familiar, especially to those who had been reading me as I photographed the same site during our previous visits to the Balcony Cafe just a block away.

While waiting for our orders, the hubby took photos of interesting labels on popular products or brand logos. The mugs were hung on the window sill.

He was so amused at them. How they made fun of the brand logos is creatively funny, like the Milo by Nestle which they changed to "Peste Maling tao" (roughly translated as Pest, Wrong person) or Pringles to Singles, Mountain Due to "Malapit na Due, Bayaran na naman" (It's almost due to pay again), Tag Huer as TagHirap (hardship season), lol!

Meanwhile, the little guy was getting bored he slumped his body on the chair and started to doze off. Traveling makes him tired and he takes a nap whenever he can. He rarely eats too when we are on the road. He would stare and ignore even when presented with his favorite food or treat.

Anyway, the cheesy pizza was served to our table. The husband was looking for a crusty piece but didn't find any. I doubt there's a place in the locality where we can have such.

The good thing is that while Pizzas here look so ordinary, some are tasty, like this one. At least we were not disappointed. They were quite generous with the cheese so you can imagine every slice was gooey-licious.

"We can't have leftovers or they will go bad," says the hubby. Of course, he was joking. It's just his subtle way of telling me we have to finish everything, lol!

And we did. We emptied the whole plate because it couldn't be helped. It's cheesy, eh? The cheesiest we had after a while. Apart from different flavors of pizzas, the food place also serves pasta and chicken.

The place was empty when we were there. We realized schools are on a break so small snack houses like this often have few customers so they shorten their business hours and close their doors earlier than usual.

We drove home from there and spent the rest of the afternoon resting. We no longer needed dinner because the pizza did its job of satisfying our cravings. For sure, there will be a next time in that place.

That's just it from me today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, frens!
