Hive UK meeting and another slivers of alternative reality

In cold weather, after an epic quest, I managed to find 1001 Cafe, the place where the Hive London Meeting took place. (Not really hard, basically I took the train to Farrington and then 4 Tube stops until Aldgate). We met all there after 16-17ish, and @adetorrent was first, @tdctunes and Paulo came with some instruments, and @basilmarples, @mcsamm, and @monivis (with her husband Gianni) joined us too. Not to forget @steevc.

We had good food, and good drinks and we talked about almost everything (music, crypto, blockchain games, and snow was on the menu mostly). Even Splinterlands and Rising Star were on the menu. A decent evening. And a strange morning. I still remember my dreams. I was in my dream, talking with a cousin, when suddenly I said, sorry, I need to go and rest for 10 minutes, as then will be time to wake up for work. Then I relaxed in bed for like 10 minutes, and as I was just writing some nonsense on a paper (the bender comes from a Fender or something like that) the alarm in the real world rang as well, and I woke up for the second time. Mystical, right?

And here I am, ready to go into the darkness, out in the winter. Hmm, jobs are overrated, but then, they are also giving you some safety net, if you don't have the courage to leave them behind and start your own thing. and I must say, I am bad at letting go, did not think about it even at the height of the bull market. Everybody says that we should play on our strengths and go all in, but the thing is, I cannot fathom what is my thing, what I can monetize and transform into a business? Not only because then something that I like may become a chore, and ruin the pleasure of it, but also because I keep searching, inside and outside, to find something that will work, and I can't find 'the thing'. It is elusive, it is mysterious and it is totally inexistent. Kind of like the unicorns.

Let's think then, a theme cafe, where people can be trained for free in different mini skills - the main could be financial independence, money skills, etc, but if you are coming to a cafe or bar, this is not what you want, right? Imagine welcome to my coffee shop, so, you want a latte, do you know that if you stop buying coffee and make it yourself you can save £x per year. Yeah, bad for business, right. Keep rolling it, then, something else. I do not know, computer related. By the way, what are the best hours for a cafe? 7 to 13? Some tablets at every table, hmm, McD tried this, but nowadays everybody has their own phone anyway. Wi-fi, the cafe must have very good Wi-fi. What about a cafe where drinks are good quality and decent stuff, but the breakfast of the day is like a 'pay what you want' price. Too much? First 10 having breakfast pay what they want? With a note on the side showing how many of those breakfasts are left?

Definitely just waking up, my brain and its little wheels are just starting to warm up. And, it is time to go. My sandwich is done for the day, and my meal is sorted (12 hours shifts, no joke).

See you tomorrow. Take care and enjoy the weekend! George
