Happy August to everyone!
Earlier last year, we introduced two new contests to the FreeCompliments community! These contests are the Monthly Engagement Contest, to measure who provided the most total engagement to the community (in terms of posts, comments, and threads with the #freecompliments tag), and the Monthly Promotion Contest, to determine who onboarded the most members to the community over the course of the month.
We’ve also added LEO and NEOXAG to our rewards, and are now adding CCD as well (how do you like that @PowerPaul?)!
Winner of the Monthly Engagement Contest
We continue to pay attention to the total number variety, and quality of posts, comments, and threads. Engagement within each of those categories did vary, so it was important to consider all factors.
The overall winner of the Monthly Engagement Contest is: @stekene! Congratulations – you win 5 HSBI, 1000 Ecency points, 10 LEO, 500 NEOXAG, and 500 CCD!
Honorary Mention: @revjohno for your mixture of unique posts, comments, and threads. For your work, you’ll get 3 HSBI.
For full transparency, I will mention that both of these users were previously caught plagiarizing, one in the FreeCompliments Community, and one outside of the community. They were both very remorseful and willing to contribute original content, and we’ve given them both a second chance to correct their actions. We believe in forgiveness and the propensity for personal growth. However, should such actions occur again, they will be permanently disqualified from all future contests and from any of our curation or rewards, plus I will request for a refund of their prior HSBI rewards (these HSBI would instead go towards another FC community account).
Monthly Promotion Contest
This month we had a nice number of marked referrals, and we had 4 people (including our Promotional Compliment Writer) who remembered to mark down their referral. So, our winner for this month is, once again: @stekene!
