Find Your Balance & Revive Vitality.

Some days, I feel so charged and fired up to do so many things at a time. I could wake up in the middle of the night feeling so inspired to write, and then at the break of dawn, I feel so energized to carry out my chores and head for my office, where I make clothes. In between, I can still multitask, and then that day I feel so productive, while other days I feel like I just don't want to do anything, with no motivation and all.

From time to time, our body breaks down and feels like not doing anything; we just want to chill. I have also experienced this a couple of times, and whenever this happens, I just intentionally give myself the needed rest.

Just as plants need water to thrive, so we also need time off to feel rejuvenated.

Do you sometimes feel unproductive and unmotivated, feel exhausted even before starting a project, or do you find it difficult to concentrate? Then you might be experiencing burnout.

I figured out that burnout is not the regular tiredness where you just want to rest up a bit and get back to work, but it is deeper, the disconnection is often real, as the lack of zeal, and the unproductivity. The funny thing about burnout is how it drains you both physically and emotionally, and how easily upset you get at things. Thats pretty much not a good feeling.

Too much workload can be a major factor in trying to meet deadlines, which steals your sleep and time for meditation. Spending too much time on screens is also another way someone can get burned out. Let's just say someone who fails to balance everything in their life experiences burnout.

Should, in case you're experiencing it, what can you do to overcome it?

Identify the cause of your burnout; could it be weighty responsibility or a lack of support? Insomnia? First, to solve a problem, you must identify the underlying factors.

Prioritize self-care, pay close attention to your health, especially your mental health, and do all you can to stay alive and healthy.

Take a break: You could decide to just shut the world out for a moment, distract yourself from anything thats likely going to cause you anxiety, see a movie, listen to music, or engage in any form of hobby you like, and trust me, this has a way of bringing you back to life again.

I love visiting the beach whenever I feel overwhelmed, just sitting around the sea, watching the sunset, listening to the birds chirping, and watching the waves. The sea gives me this inner peace I just can't explain, at the end of the day, I feel so rejuvenated.

Other times, I just turn off my phone, and sleep to replenish lost energy, but you can do whatever works for you.

I was a victim of burnout during the last festive period as a designer. The workload was overwhelming for me, coupled with the fact that I had to stay present online, here on Hive and on my fashion social handle. It turned out that I just got tired of everything, so I took a break, began to work according to my pace, did the ones I could, and left the rest for a while until I felt better.

Sometimes when I feel burned out, I do not feel inclined to attempt any prompt here on Hive; I just go with the flow. I write whatever I wish to write so long as it comes from my heart. Recently, the April Inleo prompt has been of great help to me. I just love how diverse the topics are and how one can attempt them with any approach, so sometimes I just prefer to check on the topic and approach it my way.

Time management: one must learn to manage one's time well; this means setting a to-do list, prioritizing some tasks over others, and setting a healthy boundary. You don't need to do everything or say yes to everybody.

For me, I begin my day with the simplest task to the most complex task, and that has helped me a lot.

Then I also realized talking it out helps a lot; someone could give you tips on how to manage your stress, and talking about how you feel makes you feel lighter on the inside. Sometimes when you talk it out you will realize you're not alone and that can make you feel better.

I hope this helps someone out there. โคโค
