RE: Stop Watching Porn

RE: Stop Watching Porn

50's" Stop taking Playboy magazine into the bathroom with you."
60's Ditto
70's "Stop sneaking Hustler magazine into your room."
80's "Quit reading those Penthouse letters."
...
Today "Quit watching that internet porn."

There has been porn since people started recording things in images and words. It isn't going away. Masturbation feels good and porn puts one in the spirit. What is wrong with porn is the exploitation associated with the production of some of it - but there is also porn produced voluntarily and without coercion.

Making people feel guilty about something that feels good isn't helping them. If people are obsessed with porn it's because other areas of their lives aren't fulfilling. Teach them how to live fulfilling lives, teach them how to reach out and form bonds with real people - but don't try to make them feel guilty because they're doing something that feels good.
