Tears And Salt

An apology for all the cowardice

When my mind and spirit lost peace

As I carry guilt on my back

Like a ton of salt in the sack

From your serene comely face

There's a smile I would hate to erase

But we both have to let go

So I call fall into this pool of melted snow

Now the liquid will melt the salt

To put the pain and guilt on a halt

Worry less I landed not hitting my head

For I am floating in saltwater and the tears I shed
