EN: After yesterday's boat trip we explored the island on the scooter today. There is a low risk of getting lost because there is only one main road. Nevertheless, again and again, small gravel roads lead to nowhere or to the next beach of your dreams. One of them is the Peninsula Beach. The white-powdered headland is a popular photo opportunity, which still stands a little way out of the water at high tide. You have to see this yourself once. Now that we have explored the island in detail, as a small conclusion I have to say that the beaches on the western side are a little more beautiful because the tide does not play such a significant role there. DE: Nach dem gestrigen Bootsausflug ging es heute auf dem Roller über die Insel. Verfahren kann man sich bis auf den südlichen Teil nicht, denn es gibt nur eine Hauptstraße. Dennoch führen immer wieder kleine Schotterpisten ins Nirgendwo oder zum nächsten Traumstrand. Einer davon ist der Peninsula Beach. Die weiß gepuderte Landzunge ist ein beliebtes Fotomotiv, die bei Hochwasser noch ein Stück weit aus dem Wasser ragt. Das muss man selbst einmal gesehen haben. Nachdem wir die Insel nun ausführlich erkundet haben bleibt, als kleines Fazit zu sagen, dass die Strände auf der westlichen Seite etwas schöner sind, weil die Tide dort augenscheinlich nicht so eine große Rolle spielt. Das ist aber eine rein subjektive Empfindung. Ein ausführlicher Bericht zu Koh Yao Yai wird sicherlich noch folgen. Morgen geht es dann weiter nach Koh Phi Phi.
