#812 - Ilocos Norte Shots for Monday.

Greetings once again dearest Hiveans. Early bird today because of work but later during the day there's an outage that occured in the whole country. Internet outage to be specific and the provider is Converge Internet, our router has all the green lights but no internet connection happened. I checked on their social medias but no announcement at all about it except furious customers who were ranting about the outage. A lot of work from home people are expressing their discontent on the threads of the provider. I was laughing reading the comments even though I am one of the affected and currently working at the same time. Good thing I have a backup router from Smart PLDT that is prepaid and that's when I loaded 99pesos which is good for six GB of data lasting to six days.

Moving on to our daily shots here we have photos we took when we went to Ilocos Norte. We were in Vigan that time which is in the south and the Ilocos Norte is about three hours of trip. We left the place we were staying at in Vigan around four and while travelling the road going to the north we stopped by this arc that has been erected for decades if not mistaken. This is the border indicator that shows we have finally arrived at the border of Ilocos Norte. We were not the only travelers that stopped by for a photo. There were others too including several buses, good thing we arrived here earlier by minutes and we were done with our photos with the arc in the background before the buses load of passengers arrived also for photos.

Even at the wee hours of dawn there are already police presence in this border arc because of one possible reason, to make sure the flow of vehicles is smooth while the people stopping by for photos are safe on the road. It was early but vehicles are already in volume passing by so taking photos in the middle of the road is by chance. I just wonder that the arc open space is not high enough for large trailer trucks to lass through so maybe there's another route for them to take.

Then after more than an hour of drive we have reached also the arc of the town called Pagudpud which is the last one in Ilocos Norte before going to the Cagayan valley. As a tradition, we have also stopped here and took photos together with the arc. Other travelers also do the same. There are souvenirs stores on the left area and also comfort rooms are available for those who want to take a leak.

And lastly, not far from that Pagudpud arc in just about less than an hour if not mistaken is the Patapat viaduct which is a long stretch of bridge connecting the town going to the opposite side which is the border of the Cagayan valley already. We stopped here for a while and took photos at the end of both bridges. Driving here is challenging because of the terrain and also because I was the only driver, it's hard going go long distance places ending up tired while the rest are fresh 😅.
