#598 - History Monday shots.

A good Monday evening out there dear fellow Hiveans. Earlier today I went to a radiator repair shop to have my old service car checked and they found out that there are leaks and clogged in the radiator so it needs to be repaired aside from cleaning which was initially $36 bit it doubled because of the repair and it was raised to $70 including labor. Maintenance cost for old vehicles is something I had to be prepared for when they sold it to me as second hand. Glad that there's Hive which helps a lot with the bills.❤️❤️

Moving on to our daily shots we have here some from Fort Santiago and other buildings inside the walled city. This is the arc of the main entrance going to the maximum security compound of the fort where they jailed our national hero during the Spanish era.

The old meets new. We were on the fort which was the base of operation of the Spaniards and on the other side is the Binondo area which is an island inhabited by Chinese and the only way to get there is by passing bridges. There are several bridge access points surrounding the island to give convenience to those who wants to visit it.

Then we also saw this where it says 600 dead bodies were buried as mass grave during world war 2 because this fort was also used as a base by the Japanese army back then.

This is supposed to be a fountain area in the middle of the port but it seems was not operational when we visited.

Here's one of the observation post on top of one of the building in the port. This is facing the river area so anything that moves in the river can be spotted by the soldier on duty.

The main entrance of the maximum security compound of the port as seen from a distance. There is a body of water too in between those gaps, it is in the bottom part of the frame you can see the water and it is also home now to many tilapia fish.

Then we went on to a cafe beside the church of Manila cathedral. The wife loves coffee so she bought an ice cold one here and they have these giant bells inside the cafe. I wonder if they still works out fine.
