#483 - A boat ride once upon a time.
During my visit at home which is about three hundred plus kilometers away from where I am now, we went to a river rapid a couple of towns away from our home town. I was with my brothers and sister together with our cousins and their kids. We went there on two tricycles and a motorcycle, the trip was about an hour on concrete roads.
We paid for an entrance fee and also a cottage where we can put our stuff and a place to eat as well. Then after putting our stuff and preparing our meal which are just fried eggs, boiled eggs and hotdogs and some rice and bread. We then went out for a boat ride, part of the package we paid was to have two boat because there's a lot of them kids.😁
Here are some of the shots I took during the boat ride. I used my old phone which is an Oppo F3, yeah the quality isn't that great back then. The phone is cheap but it served its purpose though. I still use it up to this day. This first shot shows the boat where my sister and brother boarded together with some of my cousins. They were the first on the river and the guide is also the one rowing as we slowly pass by rock formations on the river.
There's a wooden stair on the left of the photo, it could be going up to the the upper part of the stone mountain.
The river water here is calm as our guides row the boats without tensions.
Then the boats stopped at this area of the river where there are huge boulders of rocks. This is a spot which is also good to take photos and also a diving spot for those who want to take risks.
This is the huge rock that we had to climb up a few meters high. On top of it is where swimmers can stand and jump on to the river on the other side of the white stone. Those two kids climbing are my nephews, they want to take a peek on how high the jump is but kids are not allowed to jump here only the adults.
Anywhere we look on the river there's calmness on the water and also rocks on both side of the river. This place is one of the most visited by tourists from different parts of the country. We will definitely return here once I go home and see how the place changed for several years that we haven't seen it.
