Blue Disk Ramapo Dunderberg Loop Trail | Harriman State Park, New York

Good morning friends ✨

Yesterday I went hiking with my fiance Angel and friend Fabrin in Harriman State Park. It is the second-largest park in the parks system and includes 31 lakes and reservoirs, two public camping areas, 200 miles of hiking trails, two beaches, miles of streams, vistas, vantage points, scenic roads, and tons of wildlife species.

We arrived at the parking lot at approximately 9:30 am and began our ascent on the Blue Disk Ramapo Dunderberg Loop Trail. It is a 10.1-mile loop trail with a 1473 foot elevation gain. It wasn't too difficult which was nice as it was one of my first hikes of the year (in NY) and it was really cold. Took us about 5 hours because we took an hour break at the peak.

Check out the pictures to see why 😏
