MY FIVE 33 | Photos | Travel | Peru | Puno Region | Lake Titikaka (Titicaca)

We were given a look into the home life of the Uros Islanders of Lake Titikaka. They cook on small clay stoves out in the open. The women of the islands in their traditional brightly colored dress have frenetic sessions of trading for goods and groceries. Their homes are minimal reed structures with a simple bed and very little else. These islands only last 3 - 4 years and have to be built new at that time.
