We make our way to the Uros Islands which are made from the Totoro reeds which grow at 12,507 feet above sea level in the shallow waters of Lake Titikaka. There are 41 islands that connect to make the Uros Island communties. The Uros islanders live on these island homes year round, and they say they do not envy the mainlanders.
