This past week, I was on a girls trip with all the women on my husband's side of the family. We started in DC and explored all the way over to New York City throughout the week! We had such a fun time, and one of the highlights was the New York Water Taxi Statue of Liberty Night Tour. (Where I took the photo below)
The Twist
The funny/memorable thing about this tour is that right after we picked up our tickets and were walking over to the boat we would be riding in that evening, huge black clouds swooped over us and a downpour of heavy rain came down on us out of nowhere!
There was a moment of chaos while we tried pulling out umbrellas, covering cameras, picking up speed towards our boat, and a few of the women even letting out some high pitched squeals of shock/excitement.
When we finally made it on the boat we couldn't help but laugh about what had just happened. We all composed ourselves and got situated on the boat, a little disappointed that our boat tour to see the Statue of Liberty would be having such terrible weather.
Then, just as the tour started and we pulled away from the dock, the dark clouds passed, and we were able to see the most beautiful view that wouldn't have been possible without first experiencing the storm!
And we were even able to get a perfectly clear view of Lady Liberty.
