Typically found under trees in riparian areas and mesquite bosques, the Mexican Passion has a surprising look for a Southwest desert flower. Despite this unique look, the best way to smell is, which unfortunately has a distinct mothball chemical that smells of it. These plants are considered rare in the US, with the most common areas in the wild.


Summer may be down, but you can still take the beauty of sunflowers on Mulholland Highway in Calabasas just east of King Gillette Ranch.


"Don't stop be-leafing." While many of the leaves of several parks have dropped, the beauty of fall can still be found in the little things. What are the tiny treasures you have discovered in nature?
