Keel-billed Toucan, Colorful Bird from Costa Rica! - Wildlife Photography

Hello Steemians!
Today is Monday and I want to share a nice bird image to kickoff this week!
You can see below an image of a Keel-billed Toucan. This was another species I really wanted to photograph and add to my portfolio. Luckily I was able to accomplish this goal and I have also released this image as a fine art print on my website. :-)

Keel-billed toucans are one of the most striking birds you can see in Costa Rica. The multicolored bill is so unique that it is easy to understand why many people travel looking for this species. The contrast of green, yellow, orange, blue and red colors on its bill is wonderful. The yellow feathers on its throat and chest have an outer red ring that separates them from the black feathers on the rest of its body. On top of all these, its feet are blue! A magnificent bird that will always be a great subject to photograph.

This image was taken in Sarapiquí, Costa Rica. Which is located like 2 hours north of San José in the Heredia province. I must say I took great images around that area and has become one of my favorite places to visit for bird photography. I will share more images during this year so stay tuned my friends.
