A king's home.

Before Pakistan and India separated, there were many states in the subcontinent and each of those states were led by a "Nawab". The city of Bahawalpur in the south of Punjab province of Pakistan was one of them.

The state of Bahawalpur was one of the richest state when Pakistan came in to being and it was the fist state that decided to join Pakistan in independence. Today, the city is home to many beautiful palaces and historical places, and Noor palace - pictured below - is one of them.
