Linamon is the first municipality in Lanao del Norte exiting from Iligan City. Although the town were not among those invaded by bandits but they had experience several phenomenon such typhoons and floods.
Since the locality is situated besides seashores lots of beach establishments are built across the municipality. There more than 10 simple beach establishments, all are black sand beaches.
The government is conducting widening as a result trees along the road were cut. They say that these trees are 40 years old above.
These trees will be cut off as well.
River control is under construction as precautionary measures for sudden flood.
The pride of Iligan City does not actually situated in the city but in this municipality. The Tinago falls.
