Mid morning, Lake Hollingsworth

These shots were taken today, mid-morning, at Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland, Florida.

What is really cool about these shots, taken with my phone camera, is that it was exactly as some birds were flying in to feed in one of the patches of Lily pads in the lake. What was also cool is that the Blue Heron that was there, soaking in the suns rays, didn't budge as these little birds nose-dived into the clear blue water. Blue Herons are often found in this area of Florida, for there is a vast amount of bodies of water in Lakeland (hence the name of the city).

I truly believe it is important for us to get in touch with nature every once in a while. With the hustle and bustle that many of us experience daily, it is nice, yet important, for us to get away and decompress. Stress can destroy you internally, leaving you with lasting effects that you don't see until it has already done it's damage.

One Love,
