Welcome to Romania! Km 0 - Bucharest!

Bucharest city

Bucharest is the capital and also the largest city in Romania, and was first mentioned in documents on September 20, 1459. Besides being an administrative and economic center, it is also the starting point for the tourist destinations in Romania. French influences in culture and architecture have brought to Bucharest the surnames of "Little Paris". Bucharest has an important number of tourist attractions and monuments, such as Parliament Palace or Arc de Triomphe.

Tourist Attractions

The most remarkable tourist attraction is the Palace of Parliament, the largest building in Europe and the second largest in the world. It houses the Parliament of Romania and the National Museum of Contemporary Art. Other famous attractions include the Arc de Triomphe, modeled in 1935 after the French homonym in Paris, or the Roman Athenaeum, a symbol of the Romanian culture.

There are also many museums in Bucharest, such as the Romanian Peasant Museum, the National Art Museum or the National History Museum.
