Main Market Square in Krakow

The Main Market Square is the heart of the old city of Krakow, the former capital of Poland. It is one of the largest markets in Europe. In the middle are the Cloth Hall, or old merchant stalls, and are surrounded by historic tenement houses and richly equipped palaces and churches with the most famous St. Mary's church and a small church of St. Adalbert. Several museums are located at the market square and in its underground.

In the streets leaving the Market there are not only dozens of restaurants, pubs and shops, but also other monuments, such as Collegium Maius, the oldest part of the Jagiellonian University.
