Little Slice of Paradise in Vancouver, Canada

I'm very fortunate to have spent a good chunk of time living in Vancouver, BC on the west coast of Canada. I still can't imagine a place more beautiful than this little slice of the big, wide world.

Vancouver is made up of people living the outdoor lifestyle I'd always dreamed of living, and the city is neatly packed in between the mountains and the ocean. You can easily snowboard and go sea kayaking all in the same day. The outdoor opportunities right near the city are endless, and you can honestly just travel 30 minutes and you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere.

One of my absolute favourite places has always been in North Vancouver, specifically a forest called Lynn Canyon Park. It's a huge park with lakes, incredible hiking trails, an amazing suspension bridge and a rushing, deep canyon full of clear water below. It's popular for locals to get some exercise, swim on a hot day or take their dog out for a walk, and is completely free to get into. Just go early on summer weekends or you'll have to park your car miles away, it gets so busy!

Here are a few photos I've snapped from trips to Lynn Canyon.

Rice Lake, beautifully reflective and a popular spot for fishing.

Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, one of the most touristy spots in the park. Expect delays in the summer haha.

A view through the dense forest. I love the mosses so much.

If you ever make a trip to Vancouver, whatever time of the year, I highly recommend a visit to Lynn Canyon. You can even get a bus there from downtown Vancouver. There's no excuse not to go!

I'm a 25 year old photographer from Australia, who has been exploring North America for the past three years. I'm in love with the outdoors and love sharing my passion with others through my photos.

Please upvote, follow and resteem! Stay tuned for many more of my explorations!
