Our trip to Florence was truly a one-of-a-kind adventure!
We decided to take things up a notch by booking a private tour in none other than a replica of the iconic papamobile. It was such a fun way to explore the city, and it definitely made our day extra special as we rolled through the historic streets with people smiling and waving as we passed by.
We kicked off the tour at the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
Seeing the magnificent dome designed by Brunelleschi from the ground was awe-inspiring, but we captured a whole new perspective by flying our Mavic Mini 3 drone over the square. The aerial shots were breathtaking—panoramic views of the cathedral, the dome, and the surrounding red-roofed buildings spread out in all directions. The way the drone captured the details of the marble façade and the bustling life below was unbelievable.
Crossing the Ponte Vecchio was another highlight of the tour.
The bridge, lined with jewelry shops glinting in the sun, looked amazing from our vantage point in the papamobile, but seeing it from the sky was something else entirely. The drone captured the winding Arno River with the historic bridge stretching across it like a delicate piece of art. We flew the drone low, just above the water, and then pulled up for an epic wide shot that made the entire city seem to open up before us.
It was a day full of history, art, and laughter—one we’ll never forget!
