Island Life

Most people in Germany connect Mallorca to an island of beaches and partying. Drinking lots and lots of alcohol, listening to horrible music and spending the days at the beach with a hangover. Nature and hiking might not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of this Spanish island. But it really is a beautiful place with many possibilities for hiking and outdoor activities.

However, since Mallorca is famous for partying we felt obliged to check out the "Ballermann" where it all happens. Don't get me wrong, I do like to go out sometimes and I love dancing, but the vibe there is something different for sure. To prepare for it, we listened to this kind of German pop/beat music that they play there while we were living our hippie-roadtrip-life. I used to hate hate hate it, but I have to admit the music kind of grew on me.
The last day of our stay, we went to the "Ballermann", but unfortunately we were there in low season and the party wasn't as crazy as I expected. Nevertheless it was fun and we managed to drink through a few Beer towers (5 liters each) with the help from some cool people we met there. So after all it was neither as horrible nor as great as I thought!

This is it for now from Mallorca, but I'd most heartedly recommend the island as a travel destination for everybody!
