Floralis Genérica Sculpture. The mechanical Flower.

Hi Steemeans. The last days I was walking for Buenos Aires and I discovered on the way this fabulous sculpture. This sculpture is located in the Plaza de las Naciones Unidas in the Figeroa Acosta avenue and It was made by the architect Eduardo Catalano in 2002. The sculpture was made of metal and Aluminium. The artist wanted to reflect the dynamism of time, and it symbolises the hope to reborn every day. For that, the flower has an electrical system that reproduces the natural movement of the flowers, in the morning. the sculpture begins to open and during the day the petals have going to close step by step until it is closed completely in the sunset.
